Purpose

Considerable investment has been made by the Council to develop
new dwellings on Chapel Road, Sale.
 
In order to facilitate the development and ensure appropriate access, it is
proposed to amend the existing on-street parking on Chapel Road and
Claremont Road.
 
This
will help maintain the balance between the parking needs of
residents and
visitors to nearby facilities.
 
It
is proposed to introduce the changes in waiting restrictions, as
shown on drawing E9400-001, to improve parking and road safety in
this location.
 
The
proposals, as shown on drawing E9400-001, were formally advertised
on 13th August 2025 and received 3 objections from
residents and 1 enquiry from a councillor.
 
Having considered the objections received, approval is sought to
introduce the
restrictions as advertised in accordance with drawing
E9400-001.

Decision

That the results of the consultation and objections
received be noted.
 
2)   
That following careful consideration of the
objections and comments received, authorisation be given to make
and implement the Traffic Regulation Order, as advertised, as
detailed in the schedule to the report and as shown on drawing
E9400-001

That the objectors be informed of the decision
made.
