Purpose

Trafford Council has been
successful in bidding for £1 million of funding from the
Football Foundation to install a new full sized 3G pitch at
Crossford Bridge in Sale. The project is part of Trafford
Council’s capital investment into new and improved football
facilities.
 
The grant was formally accepted
by the Council on 26January 2024 and  approval is sought
to enter into the building contract and progress the project to the
commencement of construction until completion.

Decision

1)    
That the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with the
Director of Legal and Governance, be delegated authority to
negotiate and agree the terms of any agreements, contracts and
appointments in connection with the relevant contractors and
specialists required to deliver the project and to enter into the
necessary agreements, contracts and appointments.

 

2)    
That the Director of Legal and Governance be delegated authority to
enter and sign and/or seal the said agreements and contracts on
behalf of the Council.
