Purpose

Trafford Council has received a
number of complaints from local residents of Leys Road,
Timperley regarding a vehicle which was alleged to have been parked
on existing restrictions between Carlisle Drive and Park Road.
After further investigation, it appears there is no Traffic
Regulation Order in place for the current restrictions which are on
the ground. The vehicle which was continually parked here was taxed
and insured and therefore perfectly legitimate to park on these
restrictions outside of the time constraints specified by on-street
signage.
However, in order to rectify the
issue identified, it is proposed that the current on-street
restrictions are added to the Borough of Trafford’s On-Street
Parking Consolidation Order. The restrictions which are proposed is
a Restriction of Waiting (Single Yellow Line) operating Monday to
Saturday, 8am to 6pm, which is how they have actually been signed for many years.
 

Decision

1.   
That authorisation be given to advertise the
intention to introduce the Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in
the Schedule to this report and that, if no objections are
maintained, the Order be made and implemented in whole or in part,
as soon as is practicable.
 
2.   
That any objections maintained be reported back for
consideration.
