Purpose

The
proposed works at Cornbrook Park
consists of demolition of existing site buildings and then
construction of five residential blocks, with parking available
within the development.
 
The
Council has granted planning permission under ref number
90991/FUL/17 for the development on the land bound by Bridgewater
Way, Chester Road, Virgil Street and Princess Street,
Stretford.
 
As
part of the section 278 agreement, planning permission requires
works to the highway to prevent further parking issues in the
area.
 
It
is considered that the proposed new waiting restrictions would help
improve access for all vehicles, including emergency
services.

Decision

1.       That
authorisation be given to advertise the intention to introduce the
Traffic Regulation Order as detailed in the Schedule to the report
and that, if no objections are maintained, the Order be made and
implemented in whole or in part, as soon as is practicable.
 

2.       That any
objections maintained be reported back for consideration.
