Purpose

The Council proposes to alter the standard design of street name plates to incorporate the Trafford Coat of Arms.

Decision

That the proposal to incorporate the Trafford Coat of Arms into the design for street name plates, be approved.

Reasons for the decision

It was recommended that the proposal to include the Coat of Arms on new street name plate installations be agreed due to the benefits outlined in Section 3.0 of the report.

Alternative options considered

The only other option available was not to approve the proposal and the street name plate design would remain in its current form.
