Decision
RESOLVED that the Leader:
I. Notes the Inspector’s report and accepts their recommended modifications to the Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan in full as set out in the Schedule at Appendix 2.
II. Delegates authority to the Strategic Director of Planning to compile and publish the Referendum Information Pack, including any specified documents required under the Neighbourhood Planning (Referendums) Regulations 2012, and to make any necessary minor, typographical or presentational amendments to those documents prior to publication.
III. Approves the holding of a referendum relating to the Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan acknowledging that the Referendum will include all the registered electors in Little Hallingbury Parish.
Reasons for the decision
The Little Hallingbury Neighbourhood Plan 2026–2041 has successfully completed independent examination. The Inspector’s Report recommends that the Plan should proceed to referendum, subject to the recommended modifications being made. These modifications are set out in the Inspector’s Report at Appendix 1. The purpose of this decision is to accept the Examiner’s recommended modifications and approve the holding of a referendum for registered electors within Little Hallingbury Parish. If the referendum result is in favour of the Plan, the Council will be required to make the Neighbourhood Plan, at which point it will form part of the statutory development plan for the area and be used in determining relevant planning applications.
Alternative options considered
None.
