About

The Community Governance and Electoral Issues Committee is responsible for reviewing electoral arrangements and governance within the Vale of White Horse district. It makes recommendations to the Council regarding electoral reviews conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England and undertakes its own reviews of parish community governance. The committee also responds to consultations on parliamentary constituencies and county divisions, reviews polling districts and places, and considers reports on district and parish council elections. In conducting community governance reviews, the committee must adhere to the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 and relevant joint guidance.
