Purpose

To
approve the roadmap for the development of the strategy
 

Decision

 
Resolved:
a) That Cabinet approves the closure of the
Action Plan - Phase 1 (The Beacon) and notes the positive progress
made on delivering the Action Plan – Phase 1 (The
Beacon).
b) That Cabinet approves the Action Plan -
Phase 2 (Culture and The Beacon) as detailed in appendix 1, noting
that it includes broader culture issues and The Beacon Arts
Centre.
c) That Cabinet notes the pathway to deliver a
Culture, Heritage and Creative Industries Strategy 2026 - 2030,
which will be brought back to Cabinet following wider public
consultation in summer 2026.
