Purpose

 
To enter into an agreement with Abingdon Town
Council for its contribution towards the running cost of
VWHDC’s public space town centre CCTV scheme.

Decision

To enter into a contract with Abingdon Town
Council for its contribution towards the operating costs of the
public space town centre CCTV scheme. 
The contract will run for a period of two years with the option to
extend the contract for a further two years to align with Local
Government Reorganisation timescales. The contract can be
terminated by either party following 12 months written
notice.

Abingdon Town Council will contribute one third of the district
council’s operating costs for the scheme covering the town
centre.
 
In addition, Abingdon Town Council will cover
all capital and revenue costs associated with any additional CCTV
cameras that they successfully request to be added to the district
council’s CCTV scheme.
