Purpose

To approve making permanent the CCTV pilot
project, which leverages additional staffing resources working in
conjunction with the Metropolitan Police to enhance active
monitoring of the CCTV network.

Decision

A) to approve the continuation
of the CCTV pilot project on a permanent basis, which leverages
additional staffing resources working in conjunction with the
Metropolitan Police to enhance active monitoring of the CCTV
network,
B) to note that these resources
will work across Wandsworth and Richmond through the Joint Control
room with 75% of the cost continuing to be allocated to Wandsworth
reflecting the greater coverage and activity in this borough;
and
C) to approve a positive
General Fund revenue budget variation of £67,000 in 2025/26
and £135,000 in 2026/27 and a full year.
