Purpose

To approve the contract award for the
management of the council’s leisure centres.

Decision

1. Agree to award a new Leisure
Management Contract to Bidder B, to commence on the 1 October 2025,
for the provision of leisure services in Wandsworth for a period of
ten years, with an option to extend for up to a further five years
(at the Council’s discretion), subject to formal contract and
satisfactory conclusion of the statutory standstill period;
2. To delegate authority to the
Executive Director of Environment and Community Services in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment and Executive
Director of Finance to complete the negotiation and finalise the
contract and ancillary documentation on such detailed terms as they
consider necessary within the parameters set by this report;
3. Commit to additional General
Fund capital investment in 2026/27 as set out in the confidential
paper in addition to the £10m already approved in Paper No.
25-84 for the Leisure Infrastructure Plan for investment in the
leisure facilities;
4. To note the financial
savings as set out in the exempt part of the paper (Paper
No.25-177A).
