Purpose

To award funding to Citizens Advice Wandsworth to deliver a two-year pilot project supporting residents to improve their financial resilience. This will be part funded from Household Support Fund 7 (government grant) and part funded from the approved Cost of Living Crisis Fund.  

The total budget for this project is £249,000 over two years. £19,000 of this will be retained by Wandsworth Council for independent monitoring and evaluation of the pilot and for running Money Advice Roadshows. £230,000 has been awarded to Citizens Advice Wandsworth to deliver the staffing and direct costs associated with this project. This includes the employment of two ‘navigators’ working directly with and advocating on behalf of high-need households to help them move to an improved financial position in the long term and prevent them from needing to access crisis support.
