Purpose

To approve the extension of the
existing London Borough of Wandsworth (Consumption of Alcohol and
Psychoactive Substances and Dog Control) Public Spaces Protection
Order 2023, for the period of 3 years, subject to a variation to
remove the dog controls in Part 3 and consequential
revisions.
 
To approve a new PSPO (Dog
control in public areas) for a period of three years commencing on
24 October 2025 as detailed in Appendix 4 to the associated
report.
 
To confirm that, in accordance
with the requirements of Section 60 of the Anti-Social Behaviour,
Crime and Policing Act 2014 (the Act), on the
basis of the evidence presented it is satisfied that it is
necessary to extend the period of the existing Order, as varied, is
to have effect to prevent:
a) 
the occurrence or recurrence after that time of the
activities identified by the orders.
b) 
an increase in the frequency or seriousness of those
activities after that time. 2.4
 
To confirm that, in accordance
with Section 59 of the Act, on the basis
of the evidence presented, it is satisfied, on reasonable
grounds that the 2 statutory conditions for making the proposed
order are met.
 
Subject to approval of the
above, to authorise the Assistant Chief Executive to finalise the
extended Order, as varied and the new dog control PSPO and affix
the corporate seal on execution, noting that on the 24 October
2025, the existing PSPO, as extended and varied, and the new dog
control PSPO will come into force.
