Purpose

To establish a VCS
Cost-of-Living (COL) Fund funded from the approved Cost of Living
Reserve, with a budget of up to £400,000 (including grant
management and capacity building support), to support the
Council’s continuing response to the cost-of-living
crisis.  The VCS COL Fund will be made
available to support initiatives that boost the current offer of
community spaces and food provision with a focus on building
capacity and sustainability, to enable people to keep warm, and fed
during winter and beyond and reduce isolation. The Grants Overview
and Scrutiny Sub-Committee will consider applications made to the
Fund over two meetings, making recommendations to the
Executive.
