Purpose

The purpose of this report is:

To inform the Parking Lead Officer of comments and objections received following the statutory consultation process which was carried out between the 29th May and 19th June 2026 and; 

To seek authorisation from the Parking Lead Officer to implement the above titled traffic order, by publishing the “Notice of Making”, procuring the sign and line works associated with the proposals, and sealing the Traffic Regulation Order. 

To seek authorization to remove the Acme Road/Shakespeare Street scheme from the TRO and implementation following consultation with The Mayor and Portfolio Holder

Decision Summary

That the “Notice of Makings” are published for the above-named Traffic Regulation Order, and that the TRO be sealed and the sign/lining work be implemented, at the following locations:

·        Sutton Road- Cross Street Junction

·        Hazel Tree Rd and Beechwood Rise

·        Colne Way

·        The Ridgeway and Courtlands Drive junction

·        Minerva Drive

·        Grandfield Avenue

·        Greenbank Road

·        Greenbank Road-Minerva Drive junction

·        Cassiobury Drive and Stratford Way

·        Sheepcot Lane

·        Byron Avenue and Devon Road junction

·        Bushey Mill Crescent

·        Addiscombe Road

·        Access Road off Haines Way

That the following scheme is removed from the programme and not implemented:  Shakespeare Industrial Estate (Acme Road and Shakespeare Road)
