About

The Guildford & Waverley Joint Overview & Scrutiny Committee oversees and scrutinises matters determined by the Joint Executive Committee, acting on behalf of both Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council. It has the power to 'call-in' decisions made by the Joint Executive Committee, or key officer decisions not yet implemented, for reconsideration. The committee can delegate its functions to officers of either council, with clear limits set for such delegation. It may also establish sub-committees or working groups to support its work.
