Licensing and Regulatory Committee

The Licensing and Regulatory Committee is responsible for a range of licensing and regulatory functions for Waverley Borough Council. This includes all duties under the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005, as well as other licensing and regulatory matters. The committee also oversees health and safety at work responsibilities. It determines annual changes to taxi and private hire licence fees, including considering objections and approving final charges. The committee may appoint sub-committees to conduct hearings on licence applications and disciplinary issues.
