About

The Waverley Overview and Scrutiny Committee exercises the council's overview and scrutiny functions, acting as a critical friend to challenge and drive improvement in public services. It also serves as the council's designated crime and disorder committee.

The committee investigates matters referred by the Leader or Executive, or those it deems appropriate. It considers petitions that require senior officer evidence or review the council's response to petitions, amplifying public concerns and ensuring effective use of its time through its work programme.
