Purpose

Approval to sign and enter the amended JCT
Contract with the recommended contractor for the museum
conservation and repair contract.

Content

The Executive:
 
1.         Approves
awarding the contract to Management and Construction Services as
the main contractor for the brickwork repairs and conservation
works to the front façade of Willmer House with Simpson
Brickwork Conservation Limited being a named sub-contractor.
 
The Executive Recommends to
Council:
 
1.
        An
increase of £230,310 to the capital budget which is the
amount awarded to the Council by the National Heritage Lottery
Fund.
2.
        To
increase the capital budget by a further £213,000 from
Capital Contingency Reserve.3.
3.
        To
approve an overall project budget of £1,471,713, these
figures include a sum of £237,000 which represents the
contingency budget and provisional sum.
