To dedicate two parcels of land coloured pink
along the frontage of Broadwater Park, Farncombe totalling 60m2 as
per attached Plan A (Title No. SY585993) to enable construction of
the Guildford to Godalming Gateway and form part of the highway.
The full extent of the path would then be the responsibility of
Surrey County Council to maintain.

Reasons for the decision

Dedication of the land will facilitate one of
Waverley’s main strategic active travel routes, a project
completed in partnership with Surrey County Council.

Alternative options considered

The decision is in line with the council's
corporate strategy and there were no alternative options
available.
