Approval is sought to dispose of freehold
interest in Wey Valley House, Mike Hawthorn Drive, Farnham subject
to the incumbent long occupational lease, to the existing lessee
The Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society (AWVS), registered charity No
1168173.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the lessee to realise its expansion
plans for the care home without WBC having to enter into a
tri-partite Build-Over-Agreement with the water company holding the
council together with the lessee responsible for costs to repair
any damage that might be caused by the lessee's development works
to the water company's supply pipes under the land .

Alternative options considered

The decision meets the statutory / policy
requirements for the Council and there were no alternative options
available.
