Purpose

Waverley Borough Council has been awarded
£2,195,970 in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) payments
in the 2025/26 financial year. These funds should be used to
improve the efficiency and effectiveness of waste management and
recycling
This report seeks approval to spend these funds on several projects
that will meet this aim while providing tangible benefits and best
value to taxpayers

Content

RESOLVED that:
 

1.   
The spending on the project list provided in
appendix 1 be supported, for implementation as soon as is
practicable

2.   
The approval of an initial supplementary estimate of
£1,665,000 to be funded from Extended Producer Responsibility
funding, to be spent in line with the project list detailed in
Appendix 1 be supported, subject to funds being received

3.   
The approval of the remaining £535k, being transferred to a
reserve for further projects and environmental services
improvements be supported.

RESOLVES to:
