Reasons for the decision

Continuity of business support advice contract
for the 8,000 businesses in the borough.

The Council have been using IncuHive as a business support advice
provider since 2022, with excellent feedback and return on
investment. Continuing this contract with this supplier builds on
the service to date.

Alternative options considered

Alternative options:
1- to not offer a free business support service which could be
detrimental to business survival in the borough and the number of
business births. This could impact the number of jobs in the
borough.
2- go out to tender and find a worse value option
