the system in the new year.
The following costs software and administration costs will be the
responsibility of the three partners not the council.
The cost for WBC will circa £3,000
Annual costs for the three partners £2,000.
Reasons for the decision
Waverley is a safe borough however business
crime and shoplifting in particular remains an under reported
crime, impacting staff and morale. This system feeds directly into
the police call centre, within 24 hours of the crime, and is soon
to be a live feed.
This is excellent sharing of costs between the public and private
sector for a valuable, safe tool for businesses to use to provide a
clear picture of the crime figures and therefore potentially
allocation of increased police resources locally.
