The Council’s tenant Citizens Advice
Bureau Guildford of the above property has requested surrender of
their 5-year lease dated 2 June 2023. Proposed date of surrender
5/12/25.

Reasons for the decision

In accordance with sound estate management
practice to support the service.
The current building is not fit for purpose and requires
refurbishment/redevelopment. The CAB are relocating temporarily to
the Memorial Hall but the aim is to relocate the service to a more
suitable location in the town centre as part of an overall
assessment of service need in the town.

Alternative options considered

None as a surrender is the council’s
preferred option.
