To enter into a Deed of Easement over the
council’s common land with the owner of the former Cranley
Hotel, permitting laying of services and access for vehicles and
pedestrians to enable redevelopment into 9 flats (Planning
Permission WA/2024/01691). This is conditional upon the applicant
submitting a S73 application to vary the approved plans to include
only land that is owned by the applicant and receiving
approval.
Common land verges to be made good to the specification and
satisfaction of WBC Greenspaces department.

Reasons for the decision

To obtain a capital receipt from council land
in accordance with good estate management and corporate
objectives.

Alternative options considered

The decision meets policy requirements for the
council and there were no alternative options available.
