Decision

RESOLVED that:

1)    The Proposed Funding Requirement for 2026-27 in respect of the joint roles in Housing, as outlined in Exempt Appendix 4 be approved.

2)    The creation of a Joint Transport Planning role as outlined in Appendix 2 be approved.

3)    The creation of joint roles in Economic Development as outlined in Appendix 3 be approved.

RECOMMENDED that Waverley Borough Council RESOLVES to:

1)    Approve a supplementary estimate of £57,723 for the additional costs relating to the Joint Housing roles, to be funded from the MTFP reserve.

2)    Approve a supplementary estimate of £49,895 for the Joint Transport Planning Officer role, to be funded from the MTFP reserve.

3)    Approve a supplementary estimate of £48,265 for the additional costs relating to the proposed joint roles for Economic Development, to be funded on a 50:50 basis between the General Fund and the HRA. For 2026/27, the General Fund element will be funded from the MTFP reserve, with the HRA contribution funded from HRA Working Balances.

RECOMMENDED that Guildford Borough Council RESOLVES to:

1)    Approve a supplementary estimate of £57,723 for the additional costs relating to the Joint Housing roles, to be funded from the MTFP reserve.
