Decision

The council exercised its break rights contained in the lease dated 2 June 2014 for the above land used for parking at Moss Lane Godalming and terminated the lease on 1 February 2026 agreeing a settlement of arrears.

Reasons for the decision

In accordance with good estate management practice.

Alternative options considered

Not to agree to settle arrears but to pursue the tenant for the full amount owed. Option rejected as cost benefit not best value for the council.
