Purpose
To set out the Council’s forecast at Quarter 1, for the 2026/27 financial year, for the Revenue Budget and Capital Programme for both the General Fund and Housing Revenue Account. It also provides a Treasury Management update.
Decision
RESOLVED:
a) To note the General Fund Revenue Budget forecast surplus of (£0.031) million, a variance of £0.418 million against the adjusted budgeted use of reserves of £0.387 million;
b) To note the General Fund Capital Programme is forecast to spend £47.315 million, a variance of (£0.552) million against the adjusted budgeted capital programme of £47.867 million, which will largely be reprofiled into future years;
c) To note the Housing Revenue Budget forecast surplus of £0.287 million, which is £0.026 million lower than the budgeted surplus of £0.313 million;
d) To note the Housing Revenue Account Capital Programme adjusted budget and forecast, which is on target to spend £16.929 million in 2026/27; and
e) To note the Treasury Management update in Appendix E.
