Noted the content of the report, and the indicative non-binding
view of Special Council at its meeting on 15 January 2026; and

2.   
Agreed to request the government to postpone the ordinary elections
to Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council due to be held on 7 May 2026
in order to release capacity to deliver
local government reorganisation and so allow reorganisation to
progress effectively.
