The Resources and Place Scrutiny Committee reviews and scrutinises how West Berkshire Council and its partners meet the needs of residents and service users, and how performance is evaluated and improved.
Its remit covers a wide range of services including housing, economic development, planning, transport, environment, waste management, public protection, culture, sports, leisure, finance, property, and ICT. The committee also acts as the Council's Crime and Disorder Committee, reviewing decisions and actions related to crime and disorder functions and making recommendations.
This is an advisory committee composed of councillors, with executive members excluded. It meets regularly and can conduct reviews through full committee meetings or task and finish groups.
