The Governance and Audit Committee oversees West Lindsey District Council's corporate governance, accounts, audit processes, and ethical standards. It reviews the council's assurance framework and ensures compliance with the regulatory framework. While council leaders and committee chairs may attend, they cannot be appointed as members. The committee, composed of 8 politically balanced members including at least one independent member, meets regularly and is attended by the council's internal and external auditors.
