Purpose

This report is seeking £2,356,414.56 from CRSTS funding for delivery.

Decision

 The funding request of £2,101,101.56 from City Regional Sustainable Transport Settlement was approved.

Approval was subject to the following conditions:

(1) Continued active management and mitigation of risks associated with works in close proximity to Network Rail owned land through to completion.

(2) The Economic Options Appraisal for Phase 2 of Tile Hill Interchange (Car Park) should consider the outcomes from the Active Travel and Access measures in Phase 1 as the ‘Business As Usual’ BAU position in order to ensure both phases are developed and delivered under independent self-standing business cases to avoid conflating options across phases.

(3) The modelling of the proposed options for increasing the capacity of the car park on the site using the Active Mode Appraisal Toolkit (AMAT, TAG Unit A5.1) should wherever practicable take into account the impact of local housing developments within the Tile Hill area in West Coventry.

(4) Authority be delegated to the WMCA Section 73 officer to agree suitable terms and conditions to apply to the grant award, as set out at Section 9 (Financial Implications) of the report.
