The Director of Place awarded a contract for specialist consultancy support to develop the Full Business Case for the Digital Office on 30/09/2026. Spirit Public Sector was awarded the contract for £83,000, commencing 28/09/2026 and concluding 23 April 2027.

The Director of Operations, in consultation with Unitary Authority Directors, allocated £5,737,021 to Skills Bootcamps and approved the 26/27 delivery plan and policy changes on 15/05/2026. This included no new Skills Bootcamps provision between April and July 2026.

The Director of Strategy reviewed and approved the 2026/27 Implementation Plan and agreed a £550k grant allocation to Visit West on 09/06/2026. This funding supports the everyday economy and aims to grow visitor numbers.

The Head of Housing and Strategic Planning awarded a contract to LDA Design for a strategic vision and delivery plan for the North Somerset Growth Gateway on 11/06/2026. The contract value is £74,970 + VAT.

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority Committee noted the Overview and Scrutiny Committee Annual Report 2025/26 on 05/06/2026.

The West of England Combined Authority Committee delegated authority to the Director of Place to approve the Full Business Case for the Distribution Hub, allocated £5m to create a Nature Recovery Fund, and noted the receipt of £868,500 for Local Remediation Acceleration Plans on 05/06/2026. They also delegated finalisation of the allocation and use of Local Remediation Acceleration Plans funding to the Director of Place. Further, they noted the receipt of £200k from Homes England and delegated finalisation of its allocation and use to the Director of Homes and Regeneration. Authority was delegated to the Executive Director of Transport to enter into a grant funding agreement with First Bus, and oversight of ZTEC funding was delegated to the Executive Director of Transport.

The CEO awarded a contract to Network Rail for Henbury Station detailed design and Henbury line upgrade on 26/05/2026. The total contracted price is £6,764,379.

The Mayor submitted a formal proposal to expand the West of England Combined Authority to incorporate North Somerset Council on 29/06/2026.
