About

The West Sussex Health and Wellbeing Board is a statutory committee that brings together leaders from the local health, care, and community sectors to improve the health and wellbeing of residents and reduce health inequalities across West Sussex. It sets strategic direction and facilitates joint working to address identified needs.

The Board is responsible for assessing local health and wellbeing needs through a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and developing a Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy. These documents inform commissioning plans for both the County Council and NHS services. The Board also develops and publishes a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment.
