Purpose

The Council’s Digital Strategy describes the commitment and ambition to make the best use of digital ways of working enabled by modern technology, to improve outcomes for residents, staff and partners.

The strategy sets out our ambition under three themes:

·       Open to Everyone: Everyone who wants to engage with us online has the confidence, skills, connectivity, and equipment to do so, with training and support, fast digital networks across the county and consistency across services.

·       Smart Services: We offer digital experiences that are simple, save time and add value, designed from the resident’s perspective, joined-up, providing one view of their data, giving them confidence in our safe collection, storage and use of it, and enabling informed decision-making.

·       Modern Organisation: To deliver the above we will need a skilled workforce, supportive culture, opportunity, and effective use of tools, technology, and buildings.

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Support Services and Economic Development has approved the Council Digital Strategy (2024-2027).
