Purpose

In line with Government
guidance on the transfer of Local Enterprise Partnership’s
functions to upper tier local authorities from 1 April 2024, the
County Council has progressed work to develop an economy board. A
decision (CAB03
24/25) confirmed the new board would be designated as an
outside body with the Leader having delegated authority to make
appointments to it.

Decision

The Leader has
approved the following appointments up to November 2027:

(1)    
The appointment of a Cllr Wall, Cabinet Member for Economy and
Skills, in place of Cllr Waight, as a local authority
representative

(2)    
The appointment of two business representatives:

o  
Gabby Day, Communications Manager at Pentagon Plastics Ltd
o  
Di Mill, Managing Director of Commtel Ltd
