Decision
The Executive Director of communities has
approved the decision to allocate £875k approved in the WSCC
capital programme to carry out priority condition and utility
repair works to nine Gypsy, Roma & Traveller sites managed by
WSCC across West Sussex. This decision enables the improvements to
be undertaken through a co-ordinated programme of commissioned
works.
WSCC is prioritising undertaking the works required, to ensure all
sites remain compliant with current Environmental Agency
Regulations, as well as instructing works necessary to reduce any
future Health and Safety risks.
Allowances have been made for the maintenance of the utility sheds
and infrastructure provided to residents on each plot within a plan
of works to ensure that necessary maintenance is undertaken in the
short term.
