Decision

Palatine Primary school is a Special School in
Worthing offering SEND provision for children and young people with
Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The school offers
generic SEND provision for those aged between 5 and 11.

It is proposed to expand Palatine Primary school, by creating a
satellite provision at the Lyndhurst Infant School site, a former
mainstream primary school. The satellite provision would create up
to 41 additional specialist school places and reduce the number of
pupils at the main site by 34 to 190. Planned places for the whole
school will increase to 262.

The Assistant Director (Education and Skills) has approved the
commencement of a consultation to seek views on the proposal to
expand Palatine School, Worthing into a satellite site at the
former Lyndhurst Infant School in Worthing.
