Purpose

This report advises on the
outcome of the marketing of this property and seeks the approval of
the Cabinet Member for Finance and Property to dispose of the
County Council’s freehold estate of part of the Holding 21,
Choller Farm Barnham Lane, Walberton, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18
0AX.
 

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Finance and Property
has approved:
 

(1)    
that the County Council disposes of part of its freehold estate at
Holding 21, Choller Farm Barnham Lane, Walberton, Arundel, West
Sussex, BN18 0AX, as set out in Appendix A, and as set out in the
plan, Appendix B, of this report; and
 

(2)    
that if this sale does not proceed to an early exchange of
contracts, authority is delegated to the Assistant Director
(Property and Assets) to pursue an alternative sale at not less
than an agreed sum as set out in Appendix A, subject to contract
and due diligence only; and
 

(3)    
authority is delegated to the Assistant Director (Property and
Assets) in conjunction with the Executive Director of Law,
Assurance and Insight to conclude the terms of the sale contract,
transfer and overage deed with the purchaser.
