Purpose

The report recommends that that the County
Council submits a response to Crawley Borough Council’s
Crawley Community Governance Review consultation. The response has
been prepared by the Governance Committee’s advisory
Electoral Review Panel.
 
The urgency of this matter is due to the
deadline for the consultation being 1 December 2025 and the next
meeting of the Governance Committee is not scheduled until February
2026.
 
The Executive Director of Law, Assurance and
Insight has made a decision to approve
the response, in consultation with Cllr Pieter Montyn, the Chairman
of the Governance Committee, in accordance with Standing Order
3.45.

That the proposed response to Crawley Borough
Council’s consultation as outlined in paragraph 2.2 of the
report be approved for submission.
