Purpose

The likelihood and impact of cyber threat remain a significant
corporate risk in the ongoing operation of the Council, the risk
(CR39a) is managed via the corporate risk register.
In
response to this risk, the Council deploys several cybersecurity
technologies and processes to secure and protect Council systems
and safeguard current working arrangements.
In
anticipation of several cybersecurity provisions nearing contract
end, the Council has concluded a review to ensure provision of
cyber solutions commensurate to present threat
landscape.
The Executive Director of
Finance and Support Services will be asked to approve award of
contract for new cyber security technology to Softcat
PLC.
