Purpose
West Sussex County Council
currently commissions Change Grow Live (CGL) to provide treatment
and recovery functions across the county for people experiencing
issues relating to Drugs & Alcohol.
The service has not received an
inflationary uplift for the last two years since the contract start
date. The service has significant additional costs during this
period:

Increased staffing costs related to inflationary pay
rise and significant national insurance increase for
employers

Increased costs of inpatient detox and rehab
services
·
Increased travel and utility costs
The Director of Public Health
is asked to provide an inflationary uplift on the core contract at
4%. This will support the delivery of local and national policies
and strategies better meet the needs of the local
population.
Decision
The Director of Public Health has approved the
request of a one-off inflationary uplift of 4% on the core Change
Grow Live (CGL) contract with a total contract value of
£5,517,879.25. The inflationary increase of 4% starts on 1
April 2025 and is ongoing until the contract end on 30 September
2028 with a two-year extension option to 30 September 2030.
