Purpose

Approval is sought to undertake
a procurement procedure to select a partnering contractor to
deliver Hard Facilities Management (FM) Services in County Council
buildings throughout West Sussex.
This procurement will provide
the County Council with a new Hard FM contract that will replace
the existing Maintenance Term Contract, which will not be extended
beyond its conclusion on 30 September 2024.  The new contract will deliver a greater scope of
maintenance activities, consolidating the bulk of Hard FM activity
within a single contract.

 

Decision

The Cabinet Member has agreed
to:

(1). 
Endorsethecommencementofa
procurement procedure to
award a Hard
Facilities Management (FM) Building Maintenance Services
contract,
to a maximum value of £12m per year, to commence 01 October
2024, comprising a 5-year core term with the option to extend for a
further 3 years and 2 years thereafter, totalling a maximum
possible 10-year contract term; and to 

(2).  Delegate to the Assistant Director of Property and
Assets the authority to award the contract.  A further decision report will be published at
that time.
