Purpose

West Sussex County Council (WSCC) is the lead
authority for library books and other library services, on behalf
of the Central Buying Consortium (CBC). 
The CBC Library Group consists of 19 CBC members and a further 36
Associated member Local Authorities.
 
In October 2023 the  Cabinet Member for Community Support, Fire and
Rescue approved the procurement of a Framework Agreement to replace
the current Framework Agreement for Library Books and AV materials,
due to expire in March 2024. The Cabinet Member also delegated
authority to the Assistant Director, Communities to implement the
Framework Agreement.
 
A procurement process has now taken place and
there was a single bidder for all Lots who passed all the criteria
requirements, Askew and Holts Library Services (AHLS).
 

Decision

The Assistant Director, Communitieshas approved
the award of the Central Buying Consortium Library Book and Audio
Visual Framework to Askew and Holts Library Services (AHLS) for up
to a further four years from 01 April 2024 to 31 March
2028.
