Worthing Controlled Parking Zone Review HT03 (23/24)
July 12, 2023 Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport (Cllr Joy Dennis) (Cabinet member) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
In early 2022 a review of the
Worthing Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) was undertaken. West Sussex
County Councillors, Officers, Stakeholders and members of the
public identified potential amendments to the
scheme.
Public
consultation was undertaken in August/September 2022 about changing
identified parking/waiting restrictions in roads across the town to
improve safety, access and visibility, increasing the amount of
parking provision for residents and visitors and ensure
enforceability of all restrictions.
Overall, eight
representations were received: four individual objections, one
petition with 17 signatories of objection and three in
support.
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport,
having considered the objections to the proposals, authorises the
Director of Law & Assurance to make the Traffic Regulation
Orders as advertised with the exception of Chandos Road, Clifton
Road and Ham Way (as detailed in section 2, Appendix A of the
report).
