Purpose

As part of Key Decision SSLGR06 (25/26), the Council will be insourcing core services relating to IT Service Desk, End-User Computing (EUC) and IT Service Management (ITSM) functions from 1 October 2026.

The Council will require a new contract for the purchase and supply of IT Peripheral equipment (phones, tablets, headsets, adaptors, chargers etc) to service demand from the corporate workforce.

Decision

The Executive Director of Finance and Support Services has approved:

(1)The award of contract to Ultima Business Solutions Ltd for the supply of IT peripheral equipment;

(2)A contract term of 3 years starting on 12 October 2026.

(3)Expenditure through the contract for in-scope equipment up to the value of £1.500m.
