Purpose

Horsham District Council has chosen to undertake a review of all of the parishes in its district area, with a view to ensuring that the parish sector is best placed to be relevant to the communities of Horsham district as local government reorganisation moves forward.

The Council’s Electoral Review Panel has considered the District Council’s draft recommendations and has prepared the response included in Appendix 1 to set out the County Council response to the consultation.

Cllr Donna Johnson has been consulted as Chair of the Governance Committee under Standing Order 3.50 and the decision has been agreed by the Executive Director of Law, Assurance and Insight.

Decision

That the consultation response in Appendix 1 be approved and submitted to Horsham District Council as the County Council’s formal response to the consultation.
