Purpose

Planning regulations require
planning authorities to undertake assessments of adopted Local
Plans every five years, to assess if they remain relevant and
effective.  The
West Sussex Waste Local Plan was adopted in April 2014, first
assessed in 2019, and a further five-year assessment is being
undertaken.

Decision

That the County Council approves the
recommendation of the Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate
Change that the West Sussex Waste Local Plan
is still relevant and effective and does not need to be formally
reviewed, in whole or in part.
