Purpose
The Sussex Health & Care
Assembly is a statutory Joint Committee of Brighton & Hove City
Council, East Sussex County Council, West Sussex County Council
(WSCC) and the NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB), which was
set up to meet the Health & Care Act 2022 requirement for each
health and care system in England to establish an Integrated Care
Partnership.
The WSCC Cabinet meeting on 17 May 2022 approved the governance
arrangements for the Assembly and the ICB and the appointment of
the Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing as the County
Council’s representative on this to May2025.
Following an annual review of
the Assembly’s governance arrangements, changes to its terms
of reference have been proposed. These need to be formally approved
by each of the four statutory members. The Cabinet Member for
Public Health and Wellbeing will be asked to approve the revised
terms of reference.
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Public Health and
Wellbeing has approved the revised terms of reference for the
Sussex Health and Care Assembly on behalf of West Sussex County
Council, as set out at Appendix 2.
